...is this thing on?

Have you ever touched an iron at the EXACT moment you wondered "is this thing on"?

I cannot recommend doing so at this time.

Sorry this is more like a long, whine-y tweet than a legitimate post,
or an off-format haiku,
I'm working on it.

With one hand.

Not really, it just seemed it would elicit more sympathy that way - just a blister on a lesser finger. Thanks for listening.

  1. Yowza! Don't underestimate the importance of a lesser finger. At some point today you'll realize how much they really do. Like when you go to type:

    Waz up? or Oops!

I know 'cause the answer is yes.

  2. Or when you reach for something with the whole hand, run your hand through your hair. AHH that hurts.

  3. You know, until I started typing, I didn't think of typing. I'm hopelessly left-handed, can't even pick my nose with my right hand, so the ring finger of my essentially non-funtioning right hand didn't seem to be that important. Until you need an "L" or an "O" or a ".". Mercy.

And the hair thing - that too!

  4. Wait till you have to wash dishes or pull something out of the oven....with a loud screeching youch!

By the way, thanks for admitting you pick your nose...thats the first step, in recovery, you know.

  5. Wait, Cranma(that's your Walton's name, to me), someone does dishes?

And yes, nosepicking - surely a vast improvement over butt scratching, dontcha think? No, not really? Is that too racy for the p rating? Gosh, sorry.

    Good night, John Boy.

  9. Aw, I don't want you to feel old, Mary Ellen - I mean Half-Pint. It was the only thing I could think of to put with Cran. I'm sorry!

  10. Sorry, Berries, it wasn't the age thing that made me laugh. It was the play on words. I'm old enough to need reading glasses now and it took me a few seconds to realize it was a C not a G. (my first pair of bifocals, actually progressives I guess, come in next week, now that makes one feel old!)I thought it was clever!

  11. Thats better girls......half pint, because if you could see my size, half pint is the best compliment I could ever get....forget Laura. Mary Ellen, give me a break, I never understood her...I was too young to get the teenage thing besides she kinds was a snooty thing. I adored Elizabeth. I hated john boys mole...yuck. Did anyone tell you all the picture with the dogs is just not right...seems a bit, uh, strange to look at.

  17. I don't think there is a lick of tea in a Long Island Iced tea, but ice tea sounds good right now.
