It was fine. I was really looking forward to seeing my husband today and so were the kids, he's been working a lot of hours and with us being away, a few minutes before we left for church his brother called and needed Cow to drive him to Colorado Springs. He will turn around and head right back after he drops him off but will have to go back to work as soon as he gets home.
PHEW! I needed to whine I guess, thanks for listening!
I am more than willing to listen. I know I will need to vent over the next few months because my husband is working out of town a lot! I really had a nice Mother's day. Busy, getting the food ready but once that was done, lots of visiting with the family. Everyone was gone by 3:00 and then just honey and the kids relaxing for the rest of the day.
Did you get to read through some of the posting you missed while gone? Oh and did you have fun visiting with your family? I don't think I read much about it.
Nope I still haven't caught up on all I missed while I was gone, I feel guilty about that, but I think I'm going to have let it go...as I'm catching up on what I missed, I'm missing the new stuff y'all are posting. I also have a lot of business things to attend. Not to mention getting a post up on Wit soon. I am one of those that has to do something daily or I just sort of drop it. Wit is teetering on the edge of extinction again.
I looooove lilacs! What a beautiful picture! I had breakfast in bed complete with fresh flowers & handmade cards & a sweet poem written by my oldest daughter. They even cleaned up the kitchen, oh yeah. There were some bickering children thrown in the mix, but hey, that is reality. Cotton B- step away from the edge, girl.

Why We're Here
Think of it like this, if your blog is where you put your best foot forward, All the Girls Chit Chat is where you can put your foot in your mouth and everyone laughs WITH you.
We reserve the right to preserve our academic aptitudes by blogging, so we don't turn out like Helen Horsewife, stuck in the kitchen with curlers in our hair.
Alaina sporting the Sponge Bob shades
I'm the one who isn't worthy.
Now, how do I get somebody besides these two dung beetles to do my bidding? They're great and all...it's just that, well...They're dung beetles.
Gorgeous flowers...you little cake tease, you.

ReplyDeleteGive me a couple of days to get it typed up and I will share the recipe.
ReplyDeleteLilacs are my favorite. They always smell so good. I wish they lasted longer. Ours have already come and gone.
ReplyDeleteIs The Cotton Ball back? I'm sorry I couldn't participate in the dismantle party but I was being held hostage by law professors. Not fun.
Ha! Dismantle party! That's just what it was too. Very funny.
ReplyDeleteYeah and I think the dismantling took long than anything. Ha that is good.
ReplyDeleteDismantel...clever clever clever!!!
